- The goddess of sleep appeared before Rama’s brother, she demanded he sleep or someone must sleep for him night and day his wife slept for him
- Dasharatha died in the night after thinking about the boy he had killed
- Rama would not return to be king so his brother took his place as regent
- (rakshasa ?) grabbed Sita and ran off, weapons could not kill him. He collapsed when they cut his arms off and buried him in a pit to die.
- Sita told Rama a story (65) about a hermit with spiritual powers. Indra visited him disguised and gave him a sword, he used it and lost his powers
- rakshasa Agastya gave Rama weapons to protect him. He directed him to go to a safe place in the Forest where he could live happily
- Lakshmana slayed a hermit that Indra disguised as a bull in order to lure him out. Thanking him for killing someone who wanted to kill him he disappeared
- Saplings appeared from Sita and Rama’s sweat when they were walking in the Forest and bore fruit
- Sita questioned Lakshmana's faithfulness to his wife so he jumped into a fire to prove he wasn’t unfaithful. The fire did not burn him.
- Shurpanakha told Rama to marry him and he said that he has a wife already and offered his brother. She tried to get rid of Sita Lakshmana sliced off her ears and nose and she ran away
- Ravana’s heads fell off when someone harmed his sister and he realized something must be done. Wants to abduct Sita.
- Ravana wants to kidnap Sita by turning Maricha into a golden deer and luring him away. (Maricha was Tataka's son, whom Rama had killed years earlier.)
- Sita saw the deer and wanted Rama to get it for her, Lakshmana knew it was a trick but he went anyway
- Ravana tricked Sita to leave protection. Ravana tricked the eagle Jatayu into sharing his weakness as he tries to save Sita, ravana chopped his wings off
- Mandodari protects Sita by telling Ravana to keep her in the Asoka grove
- Kabandha got his arms sliced off by Rama and his brother, and thanked them. His greed had turned him into a monster.
- Vali and Sugriva found the jewelry Sita left, the monkey sons of gods.
- Devas blessed Hanuman for Indra breaking his jaw
- Many issues involving Hanuman and his trouble with the devas. The two brothers Vali and Sugriva struggled for the throne as well.
