Biography: Tiny Tales of The Ramayana

The war continues. Indrajit disguised himself as Sita, and Hanuman watched the disguised Sita get killed. Hanuman was angry and tried to tell Rama, but he knew better. Indrajit's head got cut off and his wife asked if she could take his body to cremate it, Rama agreed to this. Ravana's son was devoted to Vishnu and recognized Rama as Vishnu on earth, he called out to him and offered his neck to Rama's sword. Virabahu wanted Rama to kill him, the head's mouth continued to chant his name in death.

Ravana wanted to kill Sita, and threatened to do it himself, but his minister restrained him. He said that the woman was not Ravana's enemy, but Rama was. Ravana went into battle with Rama. Indra gave Rama his chariot, Rama sliced off his heads but they continued to grow back. Rama shattered the pot of immortality in Ravana's navel, killing him. Rama felt shame because of Sita being in another man's house, he said she could go wherever for she was freed. She jumped into a fire to prove that she was faithful, and Rama received her with joy that she was faithful to him.

Some say that a double of Sita was brought to Rama, an illusion of Sita. Sita's double was taken to Lanka and then to Rama and when she sat into the fire she was destroyed and the devas restored Sita to Rama from the fire. Indra restored life to his warriors in battle, the monkeys and bears, so they did not have to be grieved. Lakshmana went to find his wife Urmila who had been sleeping for him all these years so he would not have to. Rama was then crowned king and Sita, his queen.

Sita found out she was pregnant, Rama is so excited. Gossip spreads that Sita is not faithful, Rama tells his brother to take her to the forest and leave her there. Lakshmana told Sita to find Valmiki to shelter her. She collapsed to the ground crying. Valmiki had seen this in a vision, and knew this would happen. He assured her and opened his home to her. Sita gave birth to her twins while living in Valmiki's home. The boys grew up in Valmiki's ashram, the boys did not know Rama was their father and were told stories of the great king. Another story is that Sita only had one boy, and one boy ran away and so Valmiki made a duplicate of the son and when Sita returned there were two of the same boy.

The twins learned the whole Ramayana by heart, and Valmiki took them to Ayodhya to sing for Rama, he did not know they were his sons. Rama realized a while later that the twins must be his sons, he called for Sita. Valmiki announced Sita as her innocence, Sita vanished into the earth for her innocence and Rama was full of grief. He acknowledged his sons as his princes, and said they would rule after him. Rama refused to remarry, Sita was still his queen he claimed.

Rama made statues of Sita, they spoke to him, he promised that they would be reunited in love in their next lifetime. Lakshmana departed and beheaded himself since he was fated to die. Rama dropped his ring, and Hanuman went to receive it. Every time a Rama incarnation ends, his ring falls down and Rama departs. Rama gave the kingdom to his sons, his bow and arrow took on human form and walked with him. Rama stepped into the river and the Devas called and applauded him. Finally Vishnu retreated to heaven.
