Introducing Me: an Introduction to Sav

Photo taken pre-COVID by my sister Hey guys! My name is Savannah, I am a Senior PR major at the University of Oklahoma with a concentration in pre-law and a minor in History! I am taking a gap year in order to prepare for law school and hopefully enroll in the fall of 2022. I don't necessarily have a dream job, but I've wanted to go into law since I was 5 years old and I saw a lawyer on a TV show, and for some reason that called me to the profession. A weird fact about me is I've moved around a lot, I was born in Delaware, then moved to Georgia in Elementary school. In Middle School, I moved to Shanghai China, and believe me growing up in a country where no one understands you is a bit frustrating, especially when middle school is already as difficult as it is. Then in High School, I moved to Kansas, and that is why I am currently at the University of Oklahoma today! Week 5 Story: The Story of Maya-Sita

Photo source Story: Tiny Tales from the Ramayana , Sita Rebukes Rama Sita prayed to the devas to protect her, "if a bad thing shall happen to me make a double so that I may remain pure and faithful to my husband," she said praying and hoping to be saved. The devas heard this and created Maya-sita to go in her place and keep her safe. Sita then joined Agni in the flames. When Rama's voice called out from the deer she screamed, she thought Rama was dying, but Agni kept her close. "Don't worry girl," Agni said, "he will be safe as will you just stay with me and wait it out." Sita could not calm down so Agni knocked her out until she would be returned with Rama. In the meantime Maya-sita was newly born and a bit confused, but she heard what sounded like Rama scream and was frightened. Soon Ravana tricked her and took her away for his own bride.
